Course News:

·       Work has started on the winter programme of course improvements. We are keeping our fingers crossed for decent weather and no floods(!) so the guys can give us a super course for next season

 

 

 

REMEMBER. NO TEEING UP ON THE FAIRWAY THIS YEAR.  USE A MAT OR MOVE TO THE ROUGH, ADJACENT TO WHERE YOUR BALL LANDED. THIS WILL PROTECT THE FAIRWAY FOR NEXT YEAR.

 

 

 

 

 

Ladies News:

·        The ladies held a successful prize giving on Friday 24th October. It was good to see so many members receive prizes.

 

Junior News:

·            Eric Edgar won the Junior H, Cap K.O. Cup after defeating Simon Hindley in the Final. Eric also won the Junior Club Ch, ship H, Cap this year.

 

 

 

Dates for your Diary:

·        Friday 28th November: Quiz night and fish & chip supper. Teams of 4.  Sign up on the social notice board.

·        Saturday 13th December: Christmas party night. Tickets priced £12 are available from the bar.

·        Friday 2nd January: Hangover fun golf day. Entertainment by Horizon, back again this year by popular demand. Watch the main notice board for sign up information.

·         Saturday 24th January: Burns supper with dancing to Callater. Tickets available from the bar in the New Year.

Pro’s Tip of the Month: Use your legs! I see a lot of golfers who use their upper body to hit the ball with little or no movement from the waist down. During the down swing try to kick the right knee in toward the left and finish with your weight on the left side & your right foot resting on your toe. Go on give it a try!

Coming soon – Thanks to PGC member Mick Longton of Baker Atlas we will soon have a 2 bay practice shelter on the old 2nd tee – no more lessons in the rain!!
